The Team To Beat is done for the year. The Phillies ran into a buzz saw when they faced the Rockies. I figured the series would be a high scoring duel but the Rockies pitching proved to be the difference. They shut down one of the top hitting teams in baseball in relatively easy fashion. The top of the Phillies lineup did nothing in the three games to produce and that will not advance you in the playoffs. The only positive thing I see comng out of this series is that they now know the pressure of the playoffs and what it takes to advance to the next round. I really thought the pitching would be the downfall but it turns out to be the offense. I hope the team enjoys their off season and prepares well for the spring. I am a Phillies fan win or lose and even thought they were swept in the playoffs I consider the season a success. We’ll be back……
