The end of another summer is here. Children will finally have something to occupy their time. I don’t know about other parents but my children have been ready to return to school since the beginning of July. The first two weeks or so they enjoy the free time but after that the lack of structure makes them annoying. Spending too much time at home can really get on mom’s nerves since she is the one home with them most of the summer. The kids need to be the center of attention at all times or they will act out. The best way for them to get that attention is at school. There they can occupy their minds on their studies and also learn to associate with other children. I know mom needs the vacation after having her darlings all summer.

What a difference a couple of days can make. The Philles were seven games out of first on Sunday. Here it is Saturday morning and they’re a mere two games out after a fantastic four game sweep of the Mets. The series was one of the best I’ve seen  in a long time. The entire team contributed to the success with a few players stepping up their play to the level needed to make it to the playoffs. The biggest part of the success was the return of Chase Utley to the lineup. He sparks the team just by having his name in the lineup.
